COVID-19 Cancellation Policy

 

BOOKING.COM Covid-19 Cancellations:
For bookings made on or after April 6, 2020, consider the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its associated government measures. If you don’t book a flexible rate, you may not be entitled to a refund. Your cancellation request will be handled by the property based on your selected policy and consumer law, where applicable. During times of uncertainty, we recommend booking an option with free cancellation. If your plans change, you can cancel free of charge until free cancellation expires.

AIRBNB Covid-19 Cancellations:
Reservations for stays and Airbnb Experiences made after 14 March 2020 will not be covered under our extenuating circumstances policy, except where the guest or host is currently sick with COVID-19. COVID-19 related circumstances not covered include: transportation disruptions and cancellations; travel advisories and restrictions; health advisories and quarantines; changes to applicable law; and other government mandates—like evacuation orders, border closures, prohibitions on short-term rentals and shelter-in-place requirements. The host’s cancellation policy will apply as usual.

Cancellation Policy

Each rate booked at an Artel Apartments, is subject to a Cancellation Policy. Please ensure you read and review the rate and conditions associated at the time of reservation. Where cancellations are made in accordance with the Cancellation Policy of the rate booked, No Cancellation Fee will be applied and any deposit you have paid for your booking will be returned.


All cancellations are to be made in the time zone of the Property, State, Country for which the reservation is made to avoid a Cancellation Fee.
Failure to check-in (no show) in on the reserved arrival date will incur a penalty charge as detailed in the Cancellation Policy of the rate booked.
Early termination of your booking after you have check-in will result in a 100% cancellation fee and you will be required to pay Artel Apartments the full amount of your booking less any amount which you have already paid.


We reserve the right to cancel or modify reservations under the circumstances where it appears that a customer has provided an invalid credit card, engaged in fraudulent or inappropriate activity, or the reservations contain or resulted from a mistake or error.
In addition, we also reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings if they do not adhere to our Terms and Conditions. If a guest chooses to shorten their stay or check out early, a penalty charge may apply, as detailed in the Cancellation Policy associated with the rate booked. In the cases of the aforementioned booking cancellations, Artel Apartments has no obligation to guarantee new available bookings or best rates.


A new booking at the best available rate will need to be made by the guest at the time of the new reservation.
Any reservation not cancelled in accordance with the Cancellation Policy will automatically be charged to the credit card details provided for security and confirmation or deducted from the reservation deposit.


Cancellations that fall outside of these parameters of the Cancellation Policy note in the rate plan, are charged (1) One Night’s Accommodation OR a 100% cancellation fee will apply and you will be required to pay to Artel Apartments the full amount of your booking less any amount which you have already paid.
Cancellations after expressed Cancellation Policy times specific to the booked rate or no-shows are subject to a cancellation fee which will be charged to the credit card used to guarantee payment of your account. The cancellation fee is equal to the accommodation fee payable for 1 (one) night of stay. A no-show is when you do not check-in on the night of your booking reservation.


A non-refundable rate is non-refundable. For Non-refundable Bookings, if you cancel your booking at any time after it is made no refund of the funds paid for your booking will be made.


Cancellation of Peak Season Bookings or Special Events Bookings will be subject to the individual terms and conditions of the rate booked.
Any cancellation fees payable by you will be deducted from any monies paid by you to Artel Apartments and if insufficient funds are available Artel Apartments may charge, and you authorise Artel Apartments to charge, the credit card the details of which you provided at the time of making your booking.
Where applicable the balance of any monies paid by you after any applicable cancellation fee has been deducted will be held by Artel Apartments as Booking Credit and may be applied to any future bookings you make with Artel Apartments.


Any surcharge applied to credit cards at the time payment for the booking is made will not be refunded.
Any property may at their absolute discretion alter these terms and conditions for specific bookings, and advise in writing, the terms and conditions that will apply (e.g. to group bookings or for peak period reservations). These will always be outlined in the official Artel Apartments property-specific confirmation email received.



Refunds:
Any amount paid by you to Artel Apartments for your booking (including deposits) shall be dealt with as stated in the Terms and Conditions of the rate booked.


Booking Credit:
If a Booking Credit has been issued to be applied to future accommodation or accommodation packages with Artel Apartments, such credit will remain valid for twelve months from the day the booking is cancelled.


Booking Credit may only be used to pay for bookings at Artel Apartments. In the same currency as the cancelled or refunded booking which generated the Booking Credits.


Booking Credit may only be used to pay for accommodation. It may be not be used for non-accommodation items such as mini-bar, car parking, laundry, taxes, not in included in accommodation rates. To redeem Booking Credit, bookings must be made via Artel Apartments by phoning 03 9108 1120.


Any stay to be fully or partially paid for using Booking Credit must be booked and paid for in full prior to the expiry of the 12-month validity period.
Any Booking Credit not redeemed at 12-month expiration validity date will be forfeited in its entirety to Artel Apartments.


Booking Credit is not redeemable for cash.
